Safari Overview
Day 1 – Arrival in Mombasa / Diani Beach
Begin your adventure with arrival at Mombasa Moi International Airport, followed by transfer to the pristine Diani Beach. Settle into your beachfront lodge or resort and unwind with the warm Indian Ocean breeze. Spend the day relaxing on white sandy beaches or enjoying optional water activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, or a sunset dhow cruise. Dinner and overnight at your beach resort.
Day 2 – Leisure at Diani Beach
Spend a full day at leisure on Diani Beach. Swim in turquoise waters, soak up the sun, or take part in optional excursions like colobus monkey sanctuary visits, deep-sea fishing, or spa treatments. Diani offers the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure before your safari begins. Dinner and overnight at the resort.
Day 3 – Diani Beach → Nairobi / Maasai Mara
After breakfast, fly or drive back to Nairobi (depending on package) and continue to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Stop en route for a scenic view of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more as the sun sets across the Mara plains. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 4 – Full Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara
Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most iconic wildlife reserve. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives or opt for a full-day drive with picnic lunch. Depending on the season, witness the Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other plains game traverse the plains. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 5 – Maasai Mara → Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by lush vegetation. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake to spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, and diverse bird species. Optional visit to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight at your lakeside lodge.
Day 6 – Lake Naivasha → Nairobi & Optional Nairobi Activities
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi. Depending on your flight schedule, visit attractions such as the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Giraffe Centre, or local markets for souvenirs. Transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for overnight stay or onward international flight connections.
Day 7 – Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi) for your departure flight. Conclude your adventure with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s pristine beaches and iconic wildlife.
