Safari Overview
Day 1 – Arrival in Malindi / Watamu
Arrive at Malindi or Mombasa Airport, and transfer to your beachfront lodge or resort in Malindi or Watamu. Spend the day relaxing on white sandy beaches or exploring the vibrant coastal town. Optional activities include snorkeling, kite surfing, or a sunset dhow cruise. Dinner and overnight at your beach resort.
Day 2 – Leisure at the Beach
Enjoy a full day at leisure soaking up the sun, swimming in turquoise waters, or taking part in optional excursions such as visiting the Watamu Marine National Park, turtle sanctuary, or local cultural villages. Dinner and overnight at your resort.
Day 3 – Beach → Nairobi → Maasai Mara
After breakfast, transfer to Mombasa for a domestic flight or road transfer to Nairobi, then onward to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Stop en route at scenic viewpoints of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 4 – Full Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara
Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara, home to the Big Five and an abundance of plains game. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to witness predator action and seasonal migration herds. Optional full-day game drives with picnic lunch maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 5 – Maasai Mara → Lake Naivasha / Lake Elementaita
After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and drive toward the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Naivasha or Lake Elementaita. Enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the lake to spot hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. Optional visit to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight at your lakeside lodge.
Day 6 – Lake Naivasha → Nairobi / Optional Nairobi Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi. Depending on your schedule, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Giraffe Centre, or local craft markets for souvenirs. Overnight in Nairobi or proceed to your hotel near the airport.
Day 7 – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi) for your departure flight. Conclude your journey with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s stunning beaches, scenic lakes, and iconic wildlife.
