Your 12-day safari begins in Nairobi and journeys through Kenya’s iconic parks—Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli—before crossing into Tanzania to explore Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. With daily game drives, cultural experiences, and a mix of landscapes from savannahs to craters, this itinerary offers a complete East African wildlife adventure.
Day 01 :NAIROBI – MAASAI MARA
You will meet our driver guide at Your Nairobi Hotel or at the airport and be transferred directly to our office. Clear the payments and get a briefing on the Kenya & Tanzania Safari Tour. The safari will start between 0800 am to 0830 am. Nairobi to Maasai mara we will cover a distance of 270kms but we will make two stops on the way. The first stop will be at Viewpoint where we will see the escarpment wall and the second will be at Narok Town for early lunch. Upon arrival at Maasai mara, you will check-in followed by an evening game drive for at least 2-3 hours game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight will be served at Enchoro Camp.
Day 02 :MAASAI MARA SAFARI
Breakfast at the camp then leaves with picnic lunch before 0700am for a full day game viewing inside this savannah grassland game reserve. Maasai mara is a popular game reserve that has a great number of animal species and a variety of birds. You will have at least 8 hours of game viewing to explore the beauty of this game reserve. Maasai mara is well known for its great annual migration and a game drive to the point where the crossing takes place is mandatory. You will leave the reserve by 1700hrs so that you have at least 2 hours to relax, visit Maasai village or take a nature walk. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 03 :MAASAI MARA – LAKE NAKURU
By 0730 am after your breakfast, proceed to the optional masai village where you will enjoy their rich culture of dances, their ways of life and so on. Later check out and leave the Maasai Mara region for Lake Nakuru. We will make a stopover at Lake Naivasha for optional activity at extra cost if you will wish to. Upon arrival at Nakuru, you will check-in at your hotel and spend the remaining hours at Leisure. From 1900 hrs enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant followed by overnight.
Day 04 :LAKE NAKURU – AMBOSELI
Breakfast then leave for a 4 hours game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park which is the place to see the endangered Rhinoceros. Lake Nakuru National Park is also famous for the Flamingos but it all depends on the season and water level at the lake. The other big three can be spotted in this park except for the Elephants. Later Leave lake Nakuru and drive to Amboseli National Park via Nairobi. From Nairobi, you will use the busy Nairobi Mombasa Highway. Arrive at Amboseli Kimana Camp before sunset check-in followed by dinner and overnight.
Day 05 :AMBOSELI SAFARI EXPERIENCE
Immediately after breakfast leave for a full day game viewing, the park is widely known for its large herds of Elephants. The view of Mount Kilimanjaro which is located on the Tanzania Part. It also has a variety of wildlife that likes grazing in the swampy areas of the park. You will have a picnic lunch at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Continue with the game drive till 0500pm, leave and proceed to the camp for optional activity. Dinner will be served, bonfire followed by overnight.
Day 06 :AMBOSELI – NAMANGA – ARUSHA
Early morning breakfast at the campsite, check out, and enjoy a game drive across Amboseli National Park. Start from Amboseli Kimana Gate and transverse the park with the search of the animals till Meshenani Gate. Exit the Park and drive to the Namanga border for Immigration and shuttle bus to Arusha. Arrive at hotel at late evening check-in and spend the evening at Leisure. Dinner from 1900 hrs and overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 :ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA
Pick up from Arusha Hotel and be introduced to our guide, leave Arusha before 0900am and drive to lake Manyara. The drive will take at least 2hrs 30 minutes. Upon arrival with the package, lunch proceeds for a game drive. Lake Manyara is widely known as the home of flamingos and the tree climbing Lions. You will find this lake to be unique as its supplied by water by underground springs and its wildlife is very easy to spot. After sunset leaves the parka and proceeds to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 08 :LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI
Leave Lake Manyara region in the morning for a long drive to Serengeti National Park, you will take at least 5 hrs 30 minutes to get to Serengeti. Upon arrival have an evening game drive till sunset. Serengeti is wider and highly known for its massive annual migration of the wildebeest and Zebras which move from their breeding ground on the north side to the South part crossing the Grumeti River which as a lot of Crocodiles. After sunset return to the camp for Dinner and overnight.
Day 09 :SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER
Early morning breakfast then leave for the morning game drive, the game drive will not belong as you will have to travel to the Ngorongoro Conservancy area. Leave the park with a picnic lunch and make a stopover at Olduvai Gorge for an optional visit. Olduvai Gorge is the museum where the remains of mankind were found. You will learn more from the guide and if interested the guide will take you there. Arrive at Ngorongoro late in the evening. Proceed to the camp for Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 :NGORONGORO CRATER – TARANGIRE
You will have breakfast at the campsite then leave with a picnic lunch for a great and amazing game drive. Ngorongoro crater is one of the wonders of the world and you will have 6 hours to explore this crater. With packed lunch descend the crater with game viewing. You will have a great and awesome view of wildlife as you drive down. Ngorongoro crater as few of the remaining black Rhinos, buffalos, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest among other animals. Picnic at the crater rim, later ascend to the main gate and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Day 11 :TARANGIRE – ARUSHA
After breakfast at the lodge or Camp proceed for the last game drive at this park, the park has a river that supplies the park with enough water for wildlife. The game drive is done along the river and you will really enjoy seen a great number of animals. Later after lunch leave the park and drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at Ambassador Hotel booked bed and breakfast.
Day 12 : DAY 12: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel checked out and be transferred to the shuttle bus for a journey back to Nairobi. Alternatively, be transferred to Arusha airport or Kilimanjaro airport. Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport will have an extra USD $20 per car.
